Gap 1969 Skinny Cord Leggings in Aubergine - Thanks ShortieK!

I have been looking for these pants since I saw them on Jean's September 30 post. And they were sold out even then - I went to five stores in Toronto and even searched in Manhattan when I was down there for Canadian Thanksgiving.  I probably went to seven or eight stores in total. The smallest size at every single store was a 29 waist. There were other colours available (including basic black, which I purchased), but what I wanted was aubergine. I all but gave up when I saw ShortieK's post over at the Alterations Needed forum selling the pants and I messaged her right away. Within two or so weeks, the pants came...

Cobalt Skirt Remixed & Banana Republic Octavio Woven Heels

cobalt5In case any of you were considering this skirt for Ann Taylor's next sale, I wanted to show how versatile the color is cross-seasons. Last week I wore it amidst winter gloom, but for spring months I can see it with delicate neutrals and gold jewelry. The lighting in my room is all over the place, so I can't get an accurate photo of the color.

MNG by MANGO Paris Challenge

mngparis1
I was so excited to see a stripes-themed challenge for this week. My mind was racing...what lucky striped item will it be? My comfy AT tee? The DIY ruffle dress? Or my classic AT sheath...

Accessory Storage: The Belt Ring Hanger

beltringAfter going from owning 1 belt to amassing a small collection, my poor mannequin begged me to find a new storage solution. Growing up, I remember toying with my dad's belt ring and thinking how clever it was. I don't know what took me so long, but I finally ordered my own...

Loving Now: Mustard Yellow Pleated Skirt

mustardskirt3Thank you everyone for your feedback on my last pleated skirt purchase. Although it fit perfectly in the waist, and was girly and romantic, the length prevented it from being a wear-often piece for me. For $60+, I needed something suitable for both work and weekends...

Not just for Halloween

orangeandblack2When I first brought home this little orange swing jacket, I made a mental note that it could be paired with many colors - but not black. I'm super wary of colors combos such as red and green, orange and black...

ASOS Petite Hotpants

hotpantsPer your requests, here are photos of the ASOS Pink Jeans. We snapped these hastily today before work, and garnered quite a few stares from conservative morning commuters. I love that these pants are so attention-grabbing, but hopefully in a fresh (versus gaudy) way...

H&M Pre-Fall Arrivals

I popped into H&M today to scope out their new arrivals, and I have to say I haven't been this excited about clothes in a while. For Fall, I'm lusting after feminine pieces in earthy colors like rustic orange, terracotta red, and moss green. H&M satisfied my cravings today at great prices...

Brunch Favorite: DIY Striped Ruffle Dress Revisited

brunchstripes2One of my simple joys in life is a yummy al-fresco brunch, followed by lazy strolling along the streets of Boston. Now that I'm not studying anymore, I try to indulge in this every weekend. Yesterday I donned this slouchy little tee shirt dress for brunch with friends...

H&M Finds under $18 - Floral Tunic and Crossbody Bag

handmcrossbody2I know this outfit is eerily similar to my last one, but I wanted to show these affordable finds while they're still in stores. While at H&M last week, my eyes were drawn to this vibrant print with yellow, purple, and brown. The pattern is summery, however the colors are perfect for transitioning into Fall...

Lookbook: Romping in Ranunculous

modclothfloral2Summer afternoons are for breezy floral dresses and floppy straw hats. I wore this outfit with flat sandals to a cafe, but oh how I wish I were at high tea instead, so that I could wear my heels, talk in a bad British accent, and curl up my pinky finger in fancy little cups...

Trench Quest, Part III: Burberry Harbourne Trench

harbourne7My love for outerwear dates back to when I first moved to Boston. At times, the cold and precipitation here made me downright depressed, but a pretty coat would bring a little joy on gloomy days. The first time I ever set foot inside a Burberry store, I tried on a "Harbourne" trench...

Petite Bras Revisited: The Little Bra Company

tlbc5Over the past year, I inadvertently shed a bit of weight. As luck would have it, the "girls" were the first to go. The bras that I had been wearing happily gradually became fraught with issues...

LOFT Petite Blooms Shell Review

loftblooms3I picked up this shell two weeks ago, along with the lace tee. In short, I really like the soft melon colors and watercolor print, but am not a big fan of the generous cut or the dangly strings...

Ways to wear it: LOFT lace print tee

laceteeblackskirt copyMy LOFT order arrived, and I wanted to show this top before sizes are gone (it's an online exclusive).

TargetNude1A few of you have been asking about my Target nude pump order so here is a quick review. In short, I love the Versie pumps and will be keeping those. The Pearce are a bit too round for my liking so they are going back...

Color Theory at Work

BlueGreen3_flowers As temps warm up, I'm happy to chuck black tights (so limiting!) in exchange for vibrant colors. If you work in a professional environment, you can still join in on the color fun. Some simple tips I follow to keep work outfits vibrant, versus loud...

Petite Fashion Challenge # 7 - The Little Black Dress

PFClbd5This month's Petite Fashion Challenge is hosted by Jessy of The Little Dust Princess. Be sure to visit Jessy's blog to see her and all the other ladies' entries!

The Challenge: "A little black dress (LBD) is essential in every woman's wardrobe. Adding a pop of colour to your LBD will change up its look and make your dress a little less boring. For this challenge, add a pop of colour (or two) to your little black dress to change up the look. You could add anything from an accessory to a blazer, or even nail polish!"

Lookbook: Mixing Textures

talbotpearls4Playing with brights is fun, but sometimes it's just easier to reach for comfy, muted shades. To zap some interest into an outfit full of mellow pieces, I like to mix fabrics and textures...
