Gap 1969 Skinny Cord Leggings in Aubergine - Thanks ShortieK!

I have been looking for these pants since I saw them on Jean's September 30 post. And they were sold out even then - I went to five stores in Toronto and even searched in Manhattan when I was down there for Canadian Thanksgiving.  I probably went to seven or eight stores in total. The smallest size at every single store was a 29 waist. There were other colours available (including basic black, which I purchased), but what I wanted was aubergine. I all but gave up when I saw ShortieK's post over at the Alterations Needed forum selling the pants and I messaged her right away. Within two or so weeks, the pants came...

My Banana Republic Mad Men Cigarette Pants Have Arrived….

…and it ISN’T GOOD. Since the pants don’t come in petite, I had no choice but to order them in a regular. They also don’t come in 00, not even on the US site. Just as I thought, they were way, way, way too big. I think they’re going to be returned. Alterations probably WON’T HELP AT ALL…

Banana Republic Bermuda Shorts, Part I

I haven't worn shorts since early high school, when I went through a very short Daisy Dukes phase (no, I DON'T have any pictures).  Anyway, now that I'm in my 30s, I've decided to go back to shorts, but buy some nicer, more "proper" ones of appropriate length.  It can get pretty hot here in Toronto and I can't always wear my cropped pants - can't wear denim in this kind of weather, no matter how lightweight...

Just Another Casual Weekend Look

I don't wear much make-up to begin with, and on the weekends, I sometimes wear none at all (other than a bit of mascara and lipgloss), so excuse the naked face.  Anyway, below is a typical outfit I'd wear to go shopping around the neighbourhood or to a casual dinner with my husband...

Help Me Style This Dress!

This is one of my favourite summer dresses.  From Banana Republic circa 2004, it was one of the first petite items I bought.  I've always worn it with sandals or heels and perhaps a cardigan in case the AC gets a little chilly.  Because I've had the dress so long...

Martin Fit Textured Linen Pants - 00P

Right before my shopping ban, I went to a shopping/style event (yay 25% off!) at Banana Republic and made bought the Martin Fit Textured Linen Pants.  I needed something somewhat dressy and lightweight to wear for the summer - I had a pair of non-black office appropriate pants from LOFT, but they were about three or four years old.

It's still cold out!

IMG_4379

We're being teased.  One day it's beautiful and sunny, the next cold windy and rainy!  My wardrobe is a bit confused right now.  I'm still wearing things appropriate for Fall or Winter but at least these clothes are getting use right?

I wore this outfit awhile ago on one of the colder days out.  Not positive if it worked out or not but I tried something new so I was happy with myself about that!

ASOS Order, Part 2: The Lilac Grey Skinny Capri

The other item that came with my order was a pair of capri pants, also in a UK 6.  I can tell you that this was a much better fit than the dress. While the dress was practically falling off, the pants were only slightly too big at the waist, if at all.  The pants are very lightweight - great for the summer.  Again, as with most ASOS pieces, the material isn't top of the line, but it would definitely last you the entire season.

Velvet in the Spring Time

IMG_0906Yes it's Spring! It's starting to feel like it but with Spring comes rain unfortunately.  But it's ok, I do see it arriving very soon!

I purchased this velvet blazer from the lovely Annie of Really Petite you can actually see her wearing it in this post.  Luckily for me she picked up an extra one and I was able to buy it from her. Thanks Annie!!

I know it's Spring, but I feel a little bit of fabulous when I wear this blazer so I decided to go for it anyway.

LG Fashion Week Day 4 - What I Wore

Had a really long day today at LG Fashion Week. My first show was at 2 pm, and I was there until at least 10 (my phone died by that time and I wasn't wearing a watch). The shows were pretty good, especially those on the runway room, though the smaller venue, called "The Studio" made it harder to see. The lack of stadium seating meant that anyone not sitting in the front row - especially petites - had trouble seeing anything below the chest or shoulder area!

What I Wore at LG Fashion Week - Day 2

Day 2 was a little crazy.  My first show was at 1 pm and my last was at 9, maybe even 9:15 (it was supposed to be at 8:30, but as with all fashion shows, it was delayed).  The lighting wasn't that great for many of the shows, so my pictures were awful, even after PhotoShop.  Top that with me leaving my media card in the computer prior to one of the most important shows!  Thank goodness I have some video footage.

One Jacket, Three Outfits - Featuring the Textured Collarless Jacket from Banana Republic

Chinese New Year is about purchasing new clothes, so I splurged and bought the Textured Collarless Jacket from Banana Republic about two weeks ago.  Below are three pictures of the jacket worn in different ways.  Which one looks best?

It's Finally HERE!!! The Famous Tweed Dress from BR Factory Store

I purchased the famous tweed dress first seen at Extra Petite from Annie (Really Petite) a few weeks ago and it has finally arrived!  Thank you so much for getting it for me.  Very much appreciated.  Anyway, I had hoped that it would come in time for PFC #5, but alas, it came just after.  It's probably better for a separate post anyway.  :-)
