Pleats, Polka Dots and Feathers

Three trends that I've been seeing lately are pleats, polka dots and feathers.  Normally I would say to take ONE trend and go with it.  But is it possible to incorporate three trends at once?  I managed to figure out a way to do it pretty subtly.

This is a jam packed post!  So much to talk about all at once and I don't want to be TOO wordy  so here we go!

This outfit is just a really super simple casual outfit.  I actually wasn't even feeling well - I suffer from headaches a lot and this headache has been stubborn.  When I have a headache I usually just stay in bed all day, which is what I did the day before but I really wanted to get some fresh air so the husband and I headed out to High Park.

First Outdoor Shots

Yup - outdoor shots! But yes, I didn't REALLY venture out of the comfort of my home, these were taken on my balcony ;)

Hmmm...Ok so I took these shots a couple of weeks ago - and I think I attempted to do it again ONCE since then :P

I completely admire you style bloggers that are able to take shots, not only outside but in really cool places with great backgrounds! I bow down to you!

I did actually take a lot of pictures, but only a few turned out - I could see how un-relaxed I was taking these LOL!

You've read over and over again about how the positive aspects of blogging and the blogging community. I have been really lucky to not have had any negative experiences since I've started blogging (and hopefully I won't ever have to!) and once again I owe it to blogging for making this outfit possible.

The key elements of this outfit were made possible due to the friendships I've made blogging!

Ruffles On Ruffles

Oh yes, how much more girly can I get - here I am wearing ruffles on ruffles!! I guess I could be all out in a skirt but I'm usually a jeans kind of girl so I guess that's where I "change it up" :P

Feeling Pretty

You know how there are just some pieces in your wardrobe that always make you feel pretty?  Well this LOFT top I bought from Extra Petite (see post here) is definitely one of them.  I think it's the pretty colours and it just makes me feel happy - and when you're happy you feel pretty, am I right?

Velvet in the Spring Time

Yes it's Spring! It's starting to feel like it but with Spring comes rain unfortunately.  But it's ok, I do see it arriving very soon!

I purchased this velvet blazer from the lovely Annie of Really Petite you can actually see her wearing it in this post.  Luckily for me she picked up an extra one and I was able to buy it from her. Thanks Annie!!

I know it's Spring, but I feel a little bit of fabulous when I wear this blazer so I decided to go for it anyway.
